Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

• Review the notice for completeness and validity

• Notify the user who uploaded the content
• Provide the user with a copy of the DMCA notice
• Take action within 1-3 business days for valid notices

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your counter-notice must include:

• Your name, address, phone number, and email
• Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
• A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
• Your physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringer Policy

Synthetic Scholar maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. Users who receive multiple valid DMCA notices may have their accounts permanently suspended.

• Misrepresentation of authorship
